Session 05: GRAPHENE-BASED NANOTECHNOLOGY FOR ENERGY APPLICATIONS

Note: We assume all delegates attend the full 3-day conference. The times/dates shown on the website are tentative for conference scheduling, and subject to change before 20th July 2015, Final schedule will be confirmed on 21st July 2015.

Prof. Andre Geim and Prof. Konstantin Novoselov from the University of Manchester shared the 2010 Physics Nobel Prize for "groundbreaking experiments regarding the two-dimensional material graphene". Graphene is a two-dimensional monolayer of sp2 bonded carbon atoms in a dense honeycomb crystal structure. The fast growing interest of graphene for energy applications stems from graphene's extraordinary properties and unique ultrathin 2D structure.

This session will provide a forum for researchers to brain-storm recent progress in Graphene-based Nanotechnology for Energy Oriented Applications. Topics will include (but will not be limited to):
- Graphene for energy storage
- Graphene-based catalysis for energy-related systems
- Graphene for energy conversion
- Graphene for renewable energy
- Graphene-based gas sensors
- Graphene for energy harvesting
- Graphene-based thermal transport
- …
